Meet Broker Associate Donna Machado
Donna has been a real estate broker on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 2014 and currently resides in Gulfport, MS. With a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi, Donna began her career in the banking industry, working her way up from Branch Manager to Vice President, where she oversaw the Construction Division and later the Private Banking Division at Hancock Whitney Bank. Eventually, she decided to focus full-time on remodeling and renovating homes along the coast.
As a lifelong resident of Gulfport, Donna has deep roots in the Orange Grove community, where she grew up. Raised by her mother, a local home builder for 40 years, Donna’s passion for real estate and the Gulf Coast shines through in everything she does. When not working, Donna loves spending quality time with her family, enjoying activities such as spending time on the water, fishing, boating, visiting Orange Beach, or attending Mississippi State football games. She is a devoted wife to David Machado and a proud mother to two daughters, Savannah and Addison. Donna is also an active parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, where she finds inspiration and community.
What made you decide to get your Real Estate License? I had always wanted to get my real estate license to be able to buy and sell property for our family and help my mom in her construction business. However, after I graduated college I was drawn to the Banking World but always had a hand in real estate, whether it be Residential Construction Lending or Financing Commercial properties. After my 2nd daughter was born I decided I wanted to stay closer to home and not have the corporate traveling (across 4 states) so I finally decided it was time.
Tell us something unique about you that makes you fun? I love to host a party! Whether it be a birthday party, school party, Mardi Gras party, you name it I’m your girl. I love watching other folks have such a good time!
What do you like best about living on the MS Coast? The water, and the ease and convenience the Coast provides for all walks of life to be able to enjoy it!
