Meet agent, Tyler Barton
Tyler’s journey began in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he was born and raised. He completed his high school education at St. Patrick Catholic High School in Biloxi, Mississippi, where he made history by contributing to the school’s inaugural Soccer State Championship victory and securing a second championship in his senior year.
Tyler’s academic path then led him to MGCCC (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College) to continue his soccer career before finding his way to Oxford, Mississippi, where he pursued higher education at the University of Mississippi.
Post-college life took him on a unique professional journey. Initially, he became a licensed real estate agent in Oxford, but this endeavor was short-lived due to the unforeseen challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. During these trying times, Tyler decided to return to his hometown and was offered an opportunity in the insurance industry. He joined State Farm as an Account Manager, later transitioning to a role as a claims adjuster for both State Farm and Allstate.
In February 2023, Tyler made a significant decision to establish his own Goosehead Insurance Agency in Gulfport, which has since thrived. Not one to rest on his laurels, he has now made the choice to re-enter the real estate sector alongside his thriving insurance agency. His motivation stems from a deep-seated passion for assisting people and serving his community, making him a dedicated and valuable asset to those he works with.
What made you decide to get your Real Estate License?
You are gifted with the ability to help people find homes where they will create memories with their loved ones that last a lifetime. What could be more special than that? Alongside a passion for helping people, I knew this was the space for me.
Tell us something unique about you that makes you fun?
I’m a man of many hobbies whether it be fishing, hunting, or watching the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturdays. I enjoy making the most out of my time outside of work and what better place to do it.
What do you like best about living on the Mississippi Coast?
The fact that it’s a little slice of everything. Between the seafood, casinos, beaches and all of the other amazing things the Coast has to offer it’s really hard to choose. The Mississippi Coast puts you at the perfect location to visit all of the surrounding major cities as well. There’s nothing better and I’m proud to call it home.
