Meet agent, Katelyn Spence

Katelyn is a lifelong resident of Gulfport, and grew up in the Lizana community. She graduated from West Harrison High School, where she was class president and participated in DECA competitions. She went on to attend the University of Southern Mississippi and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. After graduation, she began a career in Information Technology with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Katelyn is married to her high school sweetheart, Diggs, and together they have twin boys, Ridge & Ryder. She finds great joy in spending time with her family whether it be vacationing or just playing outdoors with her boys. She loves doing DIY projects around their home with her husband who is great at building things.

Growing up around her mom’s hair salon, Katelyn saw first hand the value in building relationships with clients and learned the responsibilities of being self-employed. It is that experience that has led to her desire to become a real estate agent so that she can work with others along the beautiful Gulf Coast to assist them with their real estate needs.

Give her a call or text! She would love to help you with your home search!

What made you decide to get your Real Estate license?

My children. I want the flexibility to be there for them whenever needed while still having a career I enjoy. I’ve pondered the idea of getting my license for several years, but once I became a mom, it really motivated me to pursue it. I also think real estate fits my personality because I have a passion for serving others and enjoy the challenge of matching the perfect house to a client’s specific criteria.

Tell us something unique about you that makes you fun?

I have twin boys that will soon be 2 years old and we have a small farm! My boys are obsessed with cows & chickens so we spend the evenings feeding & loving on them! They also love riding four wheelers around our property! If you love being outdoors, I can promise you would have fun spending an afternoon with us!

What do you like best about living on the Mississippi Coast?

There’s so much to do here for entertainment! I enjoy attending Cruising the Coast, Peter Anderson Festival, and concerts at Biloxi Coliseum, just to name a few. I also love the large variety of locally owned restaurants across the coast, especially those serving fresh Gulf seafood.

Testimonials

“The best decision I made was choosing Amanda Hendry and her team as my Realtor for my first time buying a home. They walked me through every step and worked with my mortgage loan officer and with the seller to make sure everything was in order and done in timely manner. My first time buying a home was a journey and not an easy one and Amanda went above and beyond to get me in the home of my dreams. She showed me probably every house on the market in the locations I was searching for several mon…
