Meet agent, Iva McAdams

Iva grew up in small-town Oklahoma with the wind in her hair and her imagination running wild in the woods and fields behind her family home. This savage child grew up to become a civilized, contributing member of society, working as an administrative support professional with a major oil corporation. This is where she met her husband Jerry.
Job transfers moved Iva and Jerry several times from one state to another. Iva frequently stated that just as the last picture was hung in the new home another job transfer was sure to follow.
When it came time to plan for retirement, Coastal Mississippi, where Jerry’s family and his fondest memories are deeply rooted, was a natural choice. It didn’t take Iva long to fall in love with the coastal way of life and the warm hospitality of all who live here, not to mention the natural beauty that the area offers.
Although Jerry chose to retire, Iva was not ready for that lifestyle yet. So, as she considered what she wanted to do when she grew up, Iva felt drawn to the real estate field. After all, with several personal real estate sales and purchases under her belt, there was much experience — some good, some not so much — that she could draw from to help others through one of their most important life decisions.
After nearly 10 years as a real estate professional, Iva is very satisfied she made this career choice. She cherishes the personal connections made, and appreciates the challenges that have helped her grow in her profession.

1. What made you decide to get your Real Estate License?
When my husband chose to retire to the Coast, I saw this as an opportunity to pursue my goal to learn the real estate business. With several personal real estate sales and purchases under our belt, there were experiences — some good, some not so much — that I knew I could learn from and utilize to help others through one of their most important life decisions. After nearly 10 years as a real estate professional, I am very glad I made this career choice because of the personal connections made and the challenges that have helped me grow in my profession.

2. Tell us something unique about you that makes you fun.
Can’t really claim to be a “fun” person, per se. Being with people who are creative and make me laugh feed my mojo. I love to make quilts, enjoy learning to knit, find pleasure traveling and discovering new places, and growing a vegetable garden feeds my soul.

3. What do you like best about living on the Mississippi Coast?
The Mississippi Gulf Coast has a great deal of natural beauty — from the white, sandy beaches and coastal waterways to the feathered, four-legged and slithery creatures of the wild. Great subjects for photographers and nature lovers.

Call Iva for all your real estate needs on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!!!

Testimonials

We contacted Amanda & Associates in December 2015 and was put in contact with Jordyn Favret. From day one, Jordyn was thorough and professional. She went above and beyond to deal with an extremely difficult seller even spending hours in the evening and on the weekends to close the deal on the property. Jordyn answered all of our questions and when she didn’t know the answer, she made the effort to investigate it and get back with us in a timely manner. She met with the rental manager and viewed …
