Meet agent, Chris Lain

After vacationing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for years, Chris fell in love, purchased a home in Gulfport and made the move south from Illinois. He loves all the coast has to offer including the beaches, amazing food, festivals, art and culture, and history. In their spare time, Chris and his spouse like to take their two dogs (Henry and Riley) on long walks, explore surrounding towns, visit museums and take in shows. Making the trade for white sandy beaches from white snow-covered ground was the best decision they’ve ever made.
Chris comes to Coastal Realty Group with a true entrepreneurial background. Owning and operating three successful businesses along the Mississippi River in Illinois. Chris was elected to two terms as Mayor of Savanna Illinois, working hard to serve and improve the community he lived in. He has served on many boards throughout his career including the International Trade Zone task force, Savanna Chamber of Commerce President, Illinois Small Business Development Center, Carroll Jo Davis Enterprise Zone and Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiatives. Chris is also a graduate of Columbia in Chicago with a bachelor’s in business management.
Seeing all the development and opportunity on the Coast, Chris decided to start a career in real estate. He knows his experience, passion for helping people and love of the coast will help all his clients achieve their goals. Whether you are looking for your dream home, selling your existing home or looking to relocate, Chris is ready to get to work for you.
GETTING TO KNOW CHRIS:
What made you decide to get your real estate license?
After relocating to the Gulf Coast, I wanted a career where I could use both my entrepreneurial skills and passion for helping others. After careful consideration, Real Estate became the clear answer. I am definitely a people person who is not afraid of hard work and challenges.Â
Tell us something unique about you that makes you fun?
Growing up, I was a competitive swimmer and a darn good water skier. Nowadays, I settle for swimming laps in our pool everyday (weather permitting). I am slightly obsessed with 1980’s and 1990’s nostalgia (especially He-Man)
What do you like best about living on the Mississippi Coast?
Where to start? I love the warm weather and sunshine. I love going to all the festivals, going to see all the live music, the endless number of fantastic restaurants, morning walks on the beach and meeting all the amazing people here.
